We an opportunity for a part time Therapeutic Residential Support Workers to work within the Therapeutic Practice Framework, using the Reach For The Stars Model to help children achieve great outcomes through person centered active support, so they can live enjoyable and fulfilling lives.

You will be guided through a comprehensive induction over 3 days, as well as opportunities to work shadow shifts. You will be provided with feedback and support.

The Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS) have determined that all staff who work with children in Out of Home Care (OGC) need to be qualified to a minimum standard of Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential and Out of Home Care). You must commit to undertaking this training. Please refer to the position description for further details.

Employment is dependent upon evidence of your application for the NDIS Screening Check (mandatory from 1st Feb 2021).

You will be required to apply for an NDIS Worker Screening Check. This check includes a national criminal records check, and will cost you $119.40. The check is valid for 5 years.

Successful applicants will be required to supply a current Working with Children check for an employee, a current Level 2 first aid qualification and CPR update. If you have lived outside of Australia for more than 12 months in the last 10 years, you will be required to supply an international police check from the country where you lived. Employment cannot commence until this check is received and assessed.

Shortlisted applicants will also be required to undertake the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission online Worker Orientation training module called ‘Quality, Safety and You’ prior to attending induction. This is a pre-employment requirement and if not completed, employment will not proceed.
